Povidone-iodine, the active ingredient in Betadine® products, is active against a wide variety of pathogens in vitro.

• An aqueous solution of 7.5% povidone-iodine
• For the preparation of the skin prior to surgery
• Film-foaming, non-staining, and water-soluble antiseptic for the preparation of the skin prior to surgery and injections
• Used for pre and postoperative skin and mucous membrane antisepsis
