Terms and Conditions
We sell to the local area (Calgary), Alberta and Canada only. We do not do International sales. Prices of the items in the store and on the website (Online store) do vary due to different levels of service required.
Prices on this online website are web only prices. People who like to take advantage of lower online prices are requested to complete purchases and payments online.
SHIPPING AND RATES
Free shipping for online orders over the total amount of $50 and lesser than 30 lbs in total weight shipped to Alberta. Orders can be picked up at store location after requesting the store for pick up and getting confirmation from the store. No deliveries to P.O. Box. Valid addresses only. Orders in stock will be shipped the same day for typical 2-3 days delivery. Small items in stock (up to 30 lbs) can be delivered the same day for the additional amount of $10 if sales online completed by 12.30 pm.
Most of the items will be shipped in the pre-packaged boxes. Some assembly may be required. Assembled items can be shipped or pick up at additional cost. Please call.
For shipping for the addresses outside Alberta, we will quote you over the phone or through email. Clients in Eastern Canada can benefit from very low shipping cost due to drop shipment arrangements with our suppliers. Some over-sized items such as scooters, beds, lift chairs, ramps, etc. may be subject to a surcharge of shipping. Please contact us before purchase.* Some communities in the "remote" locations such as North West Territories, Nunavut or Yukon Territories will be subject to higher shipping charges.
Normal rental of equipment can be rented for a minimum of one week. Typical rentals are for one month. If normal renters do need the equipment for a longer time than the due date, they MUST call at least a day before the return date to extend. Rentals are automatically extended by one week on the due date if renters do not call the store to extend. Calls for extensions after the due date will be extended AFTER weekly automatic renewal/s - NO Exceptions.
Equipment (especially bath seats and commodes) have to be brought back in a clean condition or additional cost of $20 will be charged for cleaning.
No refunds/credit for early returns.
Weekly rentals are usually just under half of monthly rate.
CalMedi will do its utmost best to maintain the equipment in good shape and safe for users. Renters will be fitted with all rental equipment and will be explained the basic functions. Renters must check and try out equipment before renting them out or leaving the store. Renters will use the rented equipment in a responsible, safe and cautious manner. CalMedi Home Care & Medical Stockings does not take responsibility or will not be liable for any injury resulting from usage of the rental equipment.
Equipment Sales and Sponsorships
Calmedi Home Care & Medical Stockings is a point of sale store. We do not manufacture or design any product. Calmedi Home Care & Medical Stockings do form relationships with the suppliers who have a good track record. We will not be liable for any injuries or accidents occurring from products bought from the stores. Customers do have an opportunity to try out all equipment before purchase. Any liability claims should be made with the manufacturer of the product.
Often CalMedi Home Care sponsors local and other events for promotional purposes only. CalMedi will not be liable or responsible for any legal action by organisers or participants , fall outs or accidents arising from such sponsored events .
Equipment Condition (Renters)
Renters are requested to check the condition of equipment at the time of rental. All equipment will be checked for defects or damages at the time of rental returns. Equipment damaged due to abuse or negligent use will be charged for damages.
Rental equipment costs are covered under some health insurance plans. Individuals are advised to inquire from their insurance companies. Individuals have to send such claims to their insurance agencies.
ACCEPTED METHODS OF PAYMENT.It's a free service from Paypal to you! Visa and Mastercard. All payments are processed through Paypal. You do need a Paypal account to checkout. Funds will not be captured until your order is shipped. a) Unopened Items
Most new, unopened items which were not special orders, and returned within 7 days of delivery, are honoured for a full refund less restocking fee of 30%. Customers will be responsible for the shipping costs to the store. Items should be in their original packaging and unopened.
b) Items Shipped as an Error
All items will be checked for no damages insided the packaging before shipping. In the event items are shipped by our error e.g. wrong item, we will pay for the return shipping cost.
c) Defective Item
Items should be sent back to us at customers cost. We will replace item with a new one and ship it to the customer at our cost.
d) Special Order Items
May be returned at our discretion. A restocking fee of 40% may apply.
e) Non-Returnable Items
Opened, used, missing the serial number or UPC, or returned more than 15 days after delivery.

· Ostomy Products
· Clearance Items
. Opened Bath and toilet seats, rails or commodes
· Any Items Marked as Non-returnable on the Product Page

Return or exchange of items must be made via contacting us by phone or email and receive a Return Authorization number before returning your items. Items returned to us without Authorization will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
